Troy Pitts Promoted to Full Time Assistant Chief

Congratulations to Assistant Chief Troy Pitts. Troy was appointed to the Full Time Assistant Chief’s position. Troy began his service to the District in 1992, serving as firefighter until his promotion to Lieutenant in 2002. A former Firefighter of the year, Vice President of the Firefighter’s Association, and member of the Lorain County Water Rescue Teams, Troy received his promotion to 2nd Assistant Chief in 2015.

Troy is filling the Full Time position vacated by Assistant Chief Bill Brown, and brings with him a tremendous work ethic and knowledge of the district’s goals and mission. Troy’s experience and certifications include Firefighter 2, EMT-B, Fire Officer 4, HazMat Tech, CFSI, and Diver.
