Brown Resigns

Former Assistant Chief Bill Brown has resigned totally from Wellington Fire District effective September 7, 2022. Brown was chosen to take over the reigns of full time Fire Chief for the City of Vermilion, Ohio. The Fire Board of Trustees accepted Brown’s resignation of Assistant Chief on May 4, 2022 as he prepared to take on his new job duties. Assistant Chief Brown began his career as a part-time firefighter with the Wellington Fire District in 1991, and later became the district’s first full time firefighter in 2001. Bill promoted to Lieutenant in 2001 and Assistant Chief in 2012.
